underdrive pulleys with high power audio system
Would I be safe with Ford Racing under drive pulleys installed, whiles running a relatively high power aftermarket audio system (~700 watts RMS)? Or should I uninstall my underdrive pulleys and put back on the stock ones before I fry my alternator?

I don't blast it 24/7... and right now my sub amp is making a MAX of 300 watts RMS because it is wired at 4 ohms instead of 2 ohms.

I have under drive pullys ( not sure what size) Im pushing 800 watts threw a 15" sub and running 100x4 into my door and deck speakers .
Im running a 1.5 farad cap and my needle on my autometer voltage gauge never even twitches when the bass hits .
If your worried about it put a cap in and be done with it. I would suggest a capacitor of at least a farad just because it takes the brunt of the hit and is far less stressfull to the battery and alternator even with out under drives.

I personally don't believe a capacitor especially just a few farads really helps much... it is discharged so quickly that it isn't much use when there is a continuous high current pull.
However from posts here as well as on other forums it seems like the UDPs will not affect my electrical system much. As a matter of fact many people tend to say that UDPs are junk although no one has told me why they are.

Are they junk? that depends where you get them (ie quality of the materials and manufacturing and etc).
IMO though, they are not worth using. You can play with the physics and engineering all you want, but the real gain is too minimal.
