So my neighbor fixed it….in less than two minutes. She sat in my driveway from mid Oct to mid Feb because of a two minute fix. He said the shifter had basically gotten stuck between two gears. Said that when coming out of first and then quickly going into reverse thing just got out of line. He asked me to get the wrenches he needed to get the shifter off and when i came back he had it fixed. He pressed the shifter towards the steering wheel and then hit it towards the dash….shifter popped right out. i had gently hit many times but never while also putting pressure on the shifter left or right. I've been driving it almost everyday since and have had zero problems. Cant be too bad because I was almost ready to spent the grand i had saved to fix it at the shop…that grand will go into the car in other ways now!!!!
