At this point I just want to get it going and it's worth it for me to have someone else do it this time. I've pulled the engine and rebuilt the tranny in my Impala, 3 times for the tranny, stock internals with that much weight and power dont mix, so I know my way around a engine, Im just ready to let someone else do the wrenchin' this time

Did you get the left head off without moving the brake booster out of the way? I just replaced the valve cover gaskets on mine and couldn't even get the cover out without moving the booster!

Before he opened his own shop he worked on NASCAR's so I'm pretty sure he knows what he's doing.
You said you got the car in 06, and even with out a calculator I know that if your 17 now that would make you about 9 years old.

Obviously it didn't run for several years , you said you had it rethreaded 4-5 years ago in your post about it being seized. That would make you what, 12-13. You also said the car sat for a couple years .
That would give the car a few years running before plug damage occurred. And something seized up.

Now Im no rocket scientist and I never worked for nascar , but I would venture to say it had something to do with the head repair.

No I didn't move any of that. Used a swivel didn't have to move it. And an extension

Woah woah, my dad got it when I was in 5th or 6th grade I can't remember. 06 was when I was in6th and ik he had it then but I can't remember if he had it before that or not. But it messed up on the opposite side. From the head repair & even if that's what caused it. Oh well, too late to go back. But I'm now a senior and he gave it to me this past year. Putting another engine in it before new years hopefully. So anything else you wanna point out?

But it was really hard to get that driver side head off with that stuff in the way. You couldn't get some of the bolts all the way out and every time you lift it up they would go back into the hole-__- but its all off not and only think I have left is the block to take out.

I don't really thing the head repair did it. But could have Idk
I do know the passenger side timing chain guide and tensioner was ****ed up. The timing chain was wearing into both of them. And even had a grove in the cover.

^that was before I took the passenger side head off. The guide and tensioner was wore into. (Head repair was on the driver side. On the third piston to the back.)

Shan243,

I have to compliment you to tackle that kind of job at your age and experience level; and you do all that in the driveway!
