Default LED Taillight Conversion Issues

I am trying to convert my taillights to LED bulbs on my 2004 GT. Instead of spending $85 on American Muscle for the conversion kit, I purchased 6 LED bulbs and two resistors from DDM tuning for around $35. Unfortunately, there is no DIY installation guide since I pieced the kit together myself, so I'm not quite sure where to splice in the resistors. Has anyone converted their taillights to LED's and remember which wire I need to connect to? I attached a picture of the bulbs and resistors that I purchased.

Thanks for your help!

The resistors go in series with the turn signal lamps, they make the flasher think incandescent lamps still being used. Note that they will get somewhat hot if the a signal (or the 4-ways) flash for an extended period.

If you get an "LED" flasher unit you will not need the resistors. Many FLAPS now have LED flashers in stock--many don't even know they do as the flashers they stock are newer electronic units...

Thanks for the tip! I want to first try to get the bulbs working with the resistors since I already purchased them. I tried just swapping the bulbs to see what would happen and the brake lights and turn signals work fine, but the running lights do not. I figured this was the reason that a resistor was needed. I may be wrong though, I am not very savvy with wiring. If that is the case though, do you (or anyone else) know the location of the wire I would need to splice into?

I already have a splice-in sequential kit from AM just as an aside. (Not sure if that makes a difference but just thought I'd add that)

If the turn signals worked properly then you likely already have an "LED" flasher--which is just a modern electronic flasher that does not rely on the wattage requirements of incandescent lamps to flash properly.

The resistors are only used with the signal lamps and have nothing to do with the stop or tail lights. If the tail lights did not work then they are perhaps the wrong lamps?
