Hanging RPMs...sticky throttle?
#11
Stock I assume; it's the stock TB anyway. But the screw doesn't have any kind of slot for a screwdriver or a wrench or anything. Not sure if it's like that from the factory? I found a load of info on checking and adjusting the TPS so that's going to be my next thing to look at. I think the screw is probably OK being that it does idle fine, but then I read some things that said that if it's backed out too far it will cause this problem.

yeah try lubing the tps also with a suitable chemical im not sure what is safe. mine had a spider egg laid in it lol. also. the adjustment screw doesnt have a slot per se. . . it will have a tiny hole for an allen key

i had a similar problem to what you have. i would let off the gas and the car would stay at around 2500 rpms and drive itself like it was in cruise control and the gas pedal was sticking. this only started to happen AFTER i did preventative cleaning of the iac and throttle body so i was super annoyed but my fix was the throttle body adjustment screw - it was letting the butterfly valve/blade close almost all the way which caused vacuum lock. i turned the screw to open it up and raise idle a little bit and that solved the problem. i know you said your screw is stuck. . . is it stock or aftermarket
