NEED HELP? laggy gt?
I have a 2003 Mustang gt. it seems to bog down between 30-50 mph. when i hit the gas it takes it 3-5 seconds to actually go... Yesterday decided to gt into it going up a somewhat steep hill, pushed it to 6k rpm and didnt go... She has a misfire cylinder 3 but could that really be the reason it bogs down? new to the v8 world, be nice. I have an automatic trans 119,xxx miles. changed the fuel filter. and going to fix the leaking valve covers/ miss on saturday. i also tighened up the loose throttle cable and didnt do too much. any advice welcome oh one other question. Went to recharge my A/c yesterday while/right after the ac was nice and cold. but today it feels the same as befor i put it in? any thought? thanks everyone.

IF your coding a misfire on cylinder #3 then you need to figure out what is causing the miss. Swap out COP on #3 with one from the other bank , clear codes and drive . IF the miss follows the COP you found why it misses , youll need a new COP .
If your valve covers are leaking, they may have leaked oil down around the plugs, this will foul out the COPs as well. Even a little water down there will do it. I left the hood open on mine one day and it rained , after that it ran like crap until all the rain water dried up.
As for the A/C if it gets cold shortly after recharging the system then goes back to not cooling well , its because you have a leak someplace , either at one of the O-rings in the fittings or the Schrader valve core is leaking on one of the service ports.
