Have an intermittent problem; the air filter assembly starts to vibrate so bad it creates a very loud hum. This can happen at idle or while cruising at 70. Hitting the gas usually makes it stop for a while. Have a 04 GT, 4.6L 2V SOHC, no modifications.

1 week ago changed the intake manifold due to leaking radiator fluid, researched it and the change went very well, no more leaks. Car has been running great until this crazy loud air filter hum. The idle has no problems, so I don’t think it would be a vacuum leak.

Any ideas what would cause this?

maybe you have a tear in the filter?
