Does turning the key on/off a couple times before attempting to crank improve starting? If so, suspect fuel pressure leaking down.
Basically what it is is when you turn the key the fuel pump comes on for like 2 seconds to pressurize the lines etc, and there's a check valve in the fuel pump that is supposed to hold that pressure until the engine starts and the pump begins running constant. When that check valve begins to fail it causes hard starting/extended cranking. Fix is a new fuel pump.

Nope. I've tried that. I've checked the fuel pressure with the key on and it's right at whatever it was suppose to be. I think 40psi?+-. Does that sound right? It has been months since I messed with it. During cranking it would drop down a few points but still had plenty of pressure.

lol at 113k being called high mileage.
My 2000 has 241k, if you couldn't see the numbers on the dash you wouldn't know it had more than 50k on it. The engine is smooth and quiet, it doesn't leak a drop of fluids and it still drives like it was brand new.
