Default 2001 Mustang GT forged internals

My car I think is maxed out on horsepower:
Procharger P1SC Pulleyed to 13psi.,Stage 2 procharger intercooler.
K&N Air Filter,BBK long tube headers, Xpipe,Welded subframe connectors.,Eibach Pro Springs.,Cobra Fuel system.,King Cobra clutch
3.73 Rear Gear Ratios.,Green Top Injectors,Powerpipe Intake Elbow,315/35r17 Rear Tires,Pro,5.0 Shifter. Im wanting more horsepower. I am trying to look around for forged internals. But there were no fourms on this. I tried to look around JEGS and Summit Racing and it gives me quite alot of information but it doesnt make any sense at all. Most of them dont tell me how much horspower they are good until. Should i just go to my local performance shop or can anyone here tell me the best set for my car

Sounds like a nice set up. You are running this on a stock 2v motor?

I will give the little info I know. I am currently installing a long block from MMR. I got the basic street mod they sell. It's is supposed to be rated to 600 rwhp. That's with forged pistons and rods. File fit rings, cast iron crank.
I think the next level up is rated to 750 rwhp and that includes a forged crank as well.

If I understand correctly the stock block and internals can handle in the 400 hp area. I never made that kind of power so I can't say from personal experience.
Others may be able to give you some better insight.

the stock 2v engine is good for 450 rwhp through a manual trans with a tune not on the ragged edge for timing. i think MMR is the way to go, just get a shortblock and swap over the rest, maybe consider a port and polish on the stock heads

^^^^^^link to a good short block

If I knew a little more about engine builds I would have gone with the short block myself. Im a shade tree Mechanic at best. Everything I've done to my mustang including this engine swap has been with the Haynes manual, YouTube, this forum and a litthe common sense.
I have learned there's more to it at every corner.
But if you want more power out of your motor, either the MMR short block or long block is a solid way to go.

welcome to the club I been rebuilding a 4.75 stroker 900hp kit from MMR past 2 months. I will be finished this Tuesday after my new head bolts arrive. when they sold me the kit I didn't know EVERY bolt had to be replaced and they didn't come in my "kit" arp bolts all together was 550 ford 230 so I went ford will just have to replace later. until hear recently I have never done any car work and I managed just fine as long as you got air tools ; ).

1st off what #s are you putting down and when you say cobra fuel system are you running dual SVT pumps or single? I wouldn't go over 425 to the wheels (learned that one out the hard way). I totally agree with jwoog MMRs the way to go.
