Mach 1 intake and comp in a 97' GT
Hey I'm looking into getting a Mach 1 engine for my 97' GT since I blew the engine. Does anyone know what kind of intake manifold is it? I'm not gonna cut a whole in my hood for the intake. Also would I have to change the whole computer or just the wire harness? Any information would be very greatfull.

Im pretty sure that it has a similar intake to the 99 cobras wich is just a side feed t-body, but I think the mach 1 has ducting that feeds a panel filter close to the intake, you realy dont have to use it though.......for the shaker. Im almost positive on this.

^^ I agree with that for sure. But as far as the wiring and the computer, I'm not positive about that but I'm sure there will be some re-wiring involved, and possibly the computer because of the DOHC and such. Look into it though, don't take my word...

Thanks guys. I'll ask Ford when I go there to get the engine. I seen stock Mach's run low 13's. I figure with that I'm gonna do I'll be in the mid 12's. The engine, cold air intake, full SLP exhaust, T56 trans, 3.37's and a full suspention. Everything from k-member to rear sway bar.
