So why is this in the 4.6 MUSTANG section? It at LEAST belongs in General tech, and better yet, in Off Topic.

check your fuel system, your either not getting gas or not getting enough air. has the car got any mods like a chip, or CAI, it might need to be tuned

My '85 2.8L automatic Camaro has a problem that sounds exactly the same, except the temperature does not matter at all. I assume it is a problem with the transmission. For me it occurs at 120 km/h crusing speed on the highway when the car hits a hill and downshifts. To get the shaking to stop, I either let off the gas or (more likely) I floor it so it gets out of that trouble gear, whichever it is. I would care more about the problem, but I am getting rid of the Camaro and getting a 'Stang soon. Anyways, when in doubt, get 'er checked out by a professional...but for at least the problem I've been experiencing, a transmission rebuild would likely be the solution.
