During a cold startup my car jumps to about 1600 rpms(normal) then works its way back down to around 1000 where it starts bouncing back and forth between 700 and 1000 rpms. It stops once the car gets warmed up. Is this normal, or does anyone know whats going on?

Yea thats pretty normal as far as I know. My car does that same thing when its cold out. And if I let it sit for too long, like I did this weekend because I went away.. When I start my car tomorrow, the tac is going to go all the way to 150 mph and 8 RPMs and then come back down when the car starts because its so cold out.

As far as I know the bouncing is pretty normal on a cold day.

Happens to me as well when its cold.

It also happened because of my TB/Plenum...but it soon returns to normal once its warm. Do you have an aftermarket one?

Dirty PCV valve. Buy some seafoam and filter 1/3 of the bottle in through the TB and the problem is solved.
