Default Pricing help

I could do all this myself I think, but no time (yet another story)...
Went to the dealer and quoted:
702.00 to install 3.73 gears in my 2003 GT. I have the gears.
117.00 to install Plenum and throttle body. I have those too.
What I don't have is the time or the gaskets/seals if needed. I told them pretty much where to stick it. I need verification they were trying to stick it to me. What do you guys think?

Unbelieveable!!! $700 for installation of rear-end gears is.....how should I say it, Did they ask you to bend over???*L

The $117 for the plenum and TB doesn't sound too bad. Figure that would be the price to install just about anything at the dealer for about an hours work.

thats total slaughter. do your tb and upper yourself. takes about 7 minutes and i wouldn't pay more than 225 for the gear swap. i would also report the dealership to ford on their webpage. thats bad business

Thank you all for the support. The one thing I am going to do is report them. I have either leased or bought cars from there for the last 12 years and they treat me this way!
Your right, I should do the TB and the Plenum, I will look around the net and here for the installation. I spent 20yrs as a Jet Aircraft Mech, guess this won't be any trouble.
This is a great forum and smart people! Thanks again!
