RE: o/r h + lm1's = crap?
I havethis setupand I'm not a big fan of it at all.Obnoxiously loud past 3,000 rpms and a lot of popping. I'm currently looking in to switching to an SLP catted X. I would recommend against this setup. The only reason I have this setup is I got a really good deal on the midpipe which I will be promptly selling onceI do get the X. I say leave the H's for the chambered's and the X's for the straight through's.

I have LMI's, long tubes, and an O/R H pipe. For everyone that is complaining about it being loud, you should have known that it would be when you bought them. My car is probably one of the loudest cars I have heard on the street and it doesnt bother me at all. Its notreally that loud under normal light acceleration. I like my setup, I would never put generic flowmasters on my car, but thats just me. My car doesnt pop and cackle that much, If you are worried about it dont use the engine to slow you down then. If you want a loud system that turns heads and sounds like all hell is breaking loose then go with the LMIs or LMIIs. I get sick of people b*tching about how loud they are, they are basically a straight pipe exhaust, what do you expect? Sound clips on the internet dont do the SLPs much justice, most cameras cant pick up the sound very well. Hear one in person, go to the strip thats what i did.

i find it extremely hard to believe your setup doesn't pop and crackle a lot. mine does and have LM2s. it has a nasty chewbacca yell when you get on the gas hard.

i never use my engine to slow down. if i give it even a little gas to get out of it's own way and it's above 2200rpm, alls i hear are crackles and pops. then it sounds like chewbacca under WOT. my heads and cams i'm sure have a little to do with just driving normally, i probably have to gas it more than you to drive it normally. still, WOT sounds like complete ***.

Its the tone they produce. My neighbor has em on his '93 LX. It sounds SOOOO bad. It sound like factory exhaust with a bunch of holes drilled in it [:'(]. Like a damn tractor even. [:'(]
-P.
PS: Nanaki I like how you described your exhaust! BWAHAHAHAH!!!!

RE: o/r h + lm1's = crap?
Dang guys ty much for all the input! Well i have been looking on summit and found this catback system. I was like "damn..." It's a ford racing catback with 2.5 inch stainless pipe and 3 inch polished stainless tips..... Yeah and its only $289.00. I have been quoted about 200 for just weld in flows at a few exhaust shops so screw that if i can get a whole system for $100 more. Anyone know any pros or cons on this system? And most of all does it sound good? heres a link check it out http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku

My friend has a prochamber and LM1's on his 04 gt and it doesnt sound that good its very loud but looses alot of tone and sounds like a truck. I had h-pipe and magnaflows on mine and they sounded terrible ive got an xpipe now and it sounds great. I get alot of compliments but my tone sounds a bit different with the cam. But ive heard Hpipe for chambered and Xpipe for straight through style mufflers (lm1's, borla, magnaflow pretty much anything high end)
