Before all of the bolt on GTs chime in on this......Full bolt on GT costs what...at least $2,000 in the end at least??? I could take that $2,000 and throw it on the Lightning and you would have a VERY BAD DAY after messing with the Lightning. I love my GT but I know what the Lightning can do.......
I know with 2 grand you could put some crazy hp and tq numbers in a lightning but how long is that motor gonna hold up?
Probably as good as 2002GTAUTOVERT's........... Anyways...I am built so I am not worried about sprinkling engine parts anymore.
nah man.. those are the numbers with a 10 psi pulley during my dyno tune... next time i feel like getting a tune ill run the 12 and see what the numbers come out to. i think maybe you misunderstood me... torque isnt everything... ive seen lightning's run 12's here in vegas as well as high 13's. ive never seen a F/I mustang lose to a lightning except a 5.0 and he ran .1x slower.. they are fast trucks.. but how are you going to compare a superchaged lightning to a N/A mustang.
easy. Ill run a lightly modded lightning(even some with pulley swap) and ill run close to them in the 1/4 if I dont win. s197 with bolt ons and DRs or slicks will run low 12s and on a good day with a good driver high 11s.
say that when the track temp is 140 degrees and elevation is around 2,000 feet.

For a S197 to run high 11's N/A, you would have to stroke the motor, as well as bolt-ons...dont think a S197 could run 11's with just bolt-ons but low 12's are definitely achievable!
Ill send you an email when I do it and ill send you a copy of the time slip. Bolt ons, cams, ported heads, suspension, weight reduction, and good tires the s197 should be there. I believe the guy from JPC did it awhile back in his car(could be wrong).

Oh and dont forget gears.

check it: http://www.jpcracing.com/store/produ...oducts_id=1109

Notice the part where it says: "inclusive setup from JPC that has been proven to produce 11-Second ET passes with Sub-1.49 '60' times in the quarter mile."

you asked the question on how it was gonna be done and I told you how I plan on doing it. During the fall/winter when its colder and I got down to Baytown (HRP) and im at sea level it will be done.

Lol, let me know when you hit that "sub-1.49" 60 foot on your stock rear end.
