ceramic coated headers are better for holding in heat and not rusting.

The chrome probably flakes off because of the expansion/contraction under heat. This exposes the metal underneath and that rusts. That's my guess anyway...Ceramic is better at dealing with heat.

Well I dont want to drop the coin on ceramic so I am going with these cheap chrome Macs. I think I will not skimp on the mid pipe however and get the Mac.
