Default third brake light tint

I am getting ready to have my rear window re-tinted. I am wondering if i should have them do my third brake light. Will the window tint stick well to the plastic? I noticed the stuff on american muscle is vinyl. Does anyone know how the film holds up on lights?

I asked the lady who tinted my mustang if the window tint she used stuck to plastic or just glass, and she said it wouldn't stick to plastic. So if there using the same tint ur out of luck I guess.

usually window tint wont work.. or if it does, it wont last. idk of anybody using window tint on anything other than windows.

Me - i would VHT niteshade than clearcoat the light.. or just buy the vinyl from AM or stangmods... but i like the niteshade approach cuz than u can do ur side reflectors too and it costs less

Well, the tint place wouldn't do it because they couldn't warranty it being on the outside of the car. So i guess maybe it was a bad idea, however i googled it and came up with instructions on doing it, so I don't know. Maybe it is a mediocre idea but better to just do it right.

buy the spray tint for your light is like 10 bucks or something and clear coat it but it gets dark fast so do 1 or 2 light coats
