Guess I should post mine then. I didn't wetsand them at all before I put the VHT on.

I used VHT, duplicolor clear, 1000 and 2000 grit sand paper, buffer, and mequiars ultimate compound. I finished them off with just a basic wax.

Been like that for about 4 months now and they still shine like I had just done them

I also did NOT use the way the person that created this thread did it.

1. took them off
2. sprayed the VHT to my liking, I did about 2 coats. If you do it too dark you can always sand it off with 1000 grit to make it lighter. (I did not sand the lights before)
3. sprayed 4 coats of duplicolor clear (did not sand before hand)
4. wetsanded with 1000, then 1500, and finally 2000
5. used a buffer and mequiars ultimate compound to shine them up.
6. used Chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax to protect them.

Also using a bucket of water and soap isn't a good idea. When you dip the sandpaper back in there you are just contaminating the water and increasing the possiblity of getting stuff on the sandpaper and causing scratches on the surfrace of the lights. Instead use a spray bottle and spray the water directly on the light and sandpaper.

That's a good point. How come I didn't think of that? +1 for the good advice.
