Personally I think the bigger question for you to answer is this....

How long are you planning on keeping the car? If this is going to be your baby forever, then to each his/her own. If your going to sell it in a year or two, you mine as well take that 8k and take a sh*t on it because you wont get a penny back from these mods.

if your main concern is hp and drag racing, put a 94-95 k member with a 351w in it or do the cobra swap like everyone's saying

I honestly am going to keep it forever. Im pretty much set on the mmr 600 block and some kind of sc kit. Either the paxton novi 2000 or the 1500 vortech kit or a used kit from somewhere. Either way im keeping the car though.

OK that was my big question. Go big or go home. I vote for something that will yield 600-700 horse with a big @$$ cam/blower cam.

im shooting for around 450-500 right now cause its my DD. Im looking into bigger blower cams cause mmr said theyll flycut my pistons when they build the motor for 100 bucks. And MHS has that cam trade in deal. So im gonna trade in my comp cam for some blower cams.

Why limit yourself with a 600 hp short block... you may regret that.

MMR600 is a dumb idea. MMR900/1000 are both within a couple hundo from the MMR600 and you'll be able to handle 900-1000hp with those shortblocks instead of just 600. Rethink your choice. Its worth the little bit extra for that piece of mind. Dont get the MMR600. We talked about this before mang.
