Car feels like it is "choking" or "slipping" when I give gas
I have 110,000 miles on my 2002 GT and just had the manifold, thermostat, belt and water pump replaced over the weekend. I got my car back last night and now i have a new problem. When I am trying to gas the car from any gear under 2,000 rpm's it feels like the car is "choking". For example, I am in 5th on the freeway and instead of down shifting to get going I just step on the gas, the entire car starts shaking and feels like it is slipping through the gear. Any ideas? Could this just be a coinsidence and this is my clutch cable and clutch going out? Or did the mechanic not do something correct when replacing everything over the weekend? I went back to him and showed him, but he said he did everything right and he doesn't know what the problem is. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!

Personally I think it has something to do with that big repair you just had done, no matter what the mechanic says. But those symptoms also sound like you have a bad COP. My car did the same thing, and I changed everything with no results until I changed the COPs.
Maybe the mechanic accidentally spilled some water on the COPs
