That's what I was thinking. He put so much work into it that he might as well keep it.

Hell, even that is overly priced for Texas. I barely got $2500 for my 96 with the 4V swap because the engine was ticking.

agreed- you might as well get the oil leak fixed at this point and hang onto it. you're already 8k in the hole.

I looked it up on KBB using the Honolulu ZIP code, the prices were no different than here in Florida--in the condition it's in it is a $2k car tops.

The oil leak, slushbox tranny, paint, and 6-banger wheels drive a stake in its value...

Id keep it, fix the oil leak, and put a shift kit in it. Autos can be fun if you do them right. lol

When you finally do get rid of that car id sell that transmission seperate if its brand new, might help. Should have never spent 7 times the value of the car, you live and learn.
