I sure you can rebuild your supercharger yourself. I've heard of people doing it themselves and it's so damn cheap bc of that. Do it
Take a magnet to that metal. Is it aluminum or metal?
If you read earlier in the post I wrote that it is a ferrous metal...I.E the magnet is attracted to it...which means that it MIGHT be a bearing I'm not sure the type of material they used for the bearings in the procharger but I know that at work I use aluminum bearings and also some ferrous bearings for the Diesel so...I'm as stumped as all of you...now if the weather would get better or I could find a garage that I can use I would be set! lol.
i will have to agree. i've not rebuilt a supercharger yet, but i have seen several people with zero prior knowledge rebuild their blowers successfully, and one guy even did a detailed how-to of his first rebuild which he posted here.
i'm sure any competent person can perform the rebuild so long as they have good instructions and the proper tools.
I didn't read the entire thread so I do not know if this has been asked. What type of filter are you running on your car? I have seen pieces like that come the the innerside of the filter
