Make profit fixing 2000 GT?

Oh wow didn't see the second page sorry for random-comment, although at some point I was the OP lol but I understand what a lot of you are saying but I would still like to know the answer to the previous question.
There are other cars out there also but I'm trying to learn what people think stuff is worth in general (especially this generation). Thanks BLKSTANGER for letting me know it's possible to flip cars without going bankrupt.
A lot of really helpful comments here guys thanks.

Once again, the specs are:
2000 Mustang GT 5spd in black, 87000 miles, in-garage car, no winters. A few after-market parts (stereo and such).
Would a normal person buy this for 6000?
Oh, and I would look at/drive a car first before purchasing to make sure everything is what it should be.

That car after it's got a new clutch in my area would be a $5,000 car. It might sell for $6k but it would be up for sale for quite a while before selling. Mustangs are a dime a dozen around here. An easy way to see what they are selling for is to watch Craigslist. And watch for how long they are listed for. I have seen some over priced cars listed for months and who knows if they ever sold.

There's no way a 2000 GT with 87k would sell for more than $4000 here in NE Florida, you can get '03s and '04s for $6k to $7k. Times are tough and a whole bunch of geezers bought GTs in the early/mid 2000s--their widows are practically giving them away now.
I saw an '05 with 55k on it advertised for $9995 (dealer) in a glossy car rag the other day, I guarantee that if you were to show up at their door with 80 $100 bills in you hand it would be yours...

When I got my '03 with 30k miles on it in December of '06 (Pearl Harbor day actually) it had been on eBay and advertised locally for over 4 months. The seller started out at $16k, KBB retail, then dropped it to $15k, then $14k--I paid him $12k, just what he owed on it and a bit less than the KBB trade-in.
Negotiate and bring cash, a motivated seller can melt like a wicked which when presented with a big stack of $100s...

People can ask any price they want, has nothing to to with what it will sell for. I have been looking for a small fishing boat (14' 15-10 HP) and have found that a lot of Craigslist sellers have some serious delusions as to what their item is worth.
