Default Does My stock 2002 GT have the upgraded intake manifold?

Hi,

I have a 2002 stock GT. I went to check the coolant resovoir but couldn't find a cold fill line, just a add ooolant line (is that the line the coolant should be at? Also, been reading on the plastic manifold problem. Did Ford fix it for the 2002 gt's?

Thanks
Mike

I dont believe the 02's have it, but it's easily identifiable, the front crossover on the intake manifold would be all aluminum if it's the upgraded one, if not then the front will be all plastic. take a pic and post it and we can tell you for sure. also just top the coolant off to that line and you'll be fine.

If the front of the intake manifold is black, then its plastic (and ****ty). If its a silver/grey color then chances are its the aluminum crossover unit (the newer one).

Didnt they switch to the aluminum crossover with the PI intakes and heads in '99?
