Default Buying a Mustang

Hi guys I need some help on selecting a car. I am about to buy a used Mustang as my first car, I checked several 1999-2004 GT and now I am selecting between 2 cars.
One is a 2002 GT convertible with 101k miles on it, other than driver seat has a little rip it's all good. However it is a Canadian car so the dash in KM/M. Does anyone know how much would it cost to replace it with M/KM? Also is there any other difference? Anyways this one is for $4500.
The other one is a 2004 GT with only 61k miles, $5000 only but it is a salvage title. I went to see the car with a friend who is a dealer and he said the car is good, no issues. I know a 2004 GT with 61k miles could worth as much as $9000 or even more and $5000 is a great price, but does the salvage title worth it? The owner did show paperwork that he bought the car with only 2300 miles on it from a dealer who sold rebuiltable cars, and he had it rebuilt and get passed inspection, he drove the car since 2005 till now.
I am planning to drive the car for at least 2 years, then I am gonna sell it for whatever it worth and get the money to help pay the down payment for a new Mustang. So guys please help me which car would worth more after 2 years? I am gonna put only about 15k miles on it.
Thx!

I think you can find a better deal than either of those around the Tri-State area. I would pass on both. Check Craigslist, Autoshopper.com, and even Ebay. There are tons of better deals...good luck.

thx man. I've been looking for a while, I expected it to be lower too but this is probably the lowest I can get, other than those who has over 130k miles. I don't really know the value of salvage of I am kinda worry abt it, any suggestions?

Yea no prob. I just took a look in Craigslist and saw an 02 convertible GT with 109,000 miles for $5400. Also saw a 2000 GT with lower miles and some mods for $3800. You can even dip into NJ or Philly or other surrounding states...Delaware, CT, etc...there are a lot of good deals out there for these cars.
