Default My freshly restored 2000 GT Vert rear ended this morning.

Talked about being ticked. I just picked up the car friday afternoon from the last of the items being fixed/restored after almost 3 months and $4,000 in work, to only get rear ended this morning on the way to work.

Wow, that's a bummer man. Did the person at fault stop and have insurance?

They did but refused to share it with me until police arrived. Their excuse to the cop was I didn't see him.

I don't know how you friggin miss me, but whatever. So I have to wait until the police report is available to get the claim rolling from his company. In the mean time I started mine on the medical side.

So far the highest estimate is about $5200.00. Passenger door sticks when closing and opening, the quarter panel is buckled in 3 places and bulges out towards the bottom by wheel well. Shop I took it too around lunch put it int he air said there is frame damage.

Pisses me off because This car was accident free for 13 years. and it really makes me mad because this is the second Silver Mustang GT I have had in this model year that has been wrecked. No more Silver cars dammit

SOB hit me so hard it jarred loose the shifter bezel and RH passenger door molding for window and lock switch.

It is driveable, with a rubbing noise.

Neck brace ='s new 2015, just talkin here. If I were a lawyer, I'd be checkin this site out.
Is the exhaust pipe sticking out a foot? Being a convertible it has less rigidity so more frame damage could be under there. And try to add resale value loss to any settlement.

Yes the pipe is sticking out further. The Pass door now rubs when opened and won't shut solid unless slammed. I found two additional buckles in the RH 1/4 panel.

Did see my local GP after work as my neck was sore as hell by end of day. I have "Moderate whiplash" as he put it.

Valium, Naproxen, and Flexerall. Wants me to see Physical Therapist by thursday.

You know what makes this whole situation crappier?

I puked the rear in the 13 on Friday... but I get that back tomorrow or wednesday.

Sorry to hear that Gary hope they fix it.

But if the quarter shifted that bad it may be some frame damage as well.

And wait you blew the rear in the 13?

Oh man that sux. My co worker just got his fox totaled out last Monday. It will definitely need a frame pull but sometimes when you get it up on the rack it can walk right out.

You really did turn that car around to bad this happened.
