Default Threw some new shoes on my 2000 Vert

Was originally going to go Anthracite bullets but these were an OE Close Out Special, then grabbed the 4 tires for about $450 ($447.87) Total, mounted balanced and installed $1080.00 (More or less)

Eagle F1 SuperCar 285/40/18 Rear & Accelera Phi front 255/40/18

People tend to rip on the Acceleras for being a budget tire, but I took the car for a 150 mile ride after install and they are quiet tires, haven't tried wet roads as the weather has been very tolerable and nice lately.

But I took it up to 90 and they seemed to grab the road nicely, cornering was about the same as before, but I had already upgraded the springs, shocks and struts back when I did the restoration on the car.

This poor little guy was mistreated by previous owner, then loved again, only be slammed and crashed by another idiot not paying attention and when all hope was lost I brought him back and gave him a 3rd life.

I know I go through S197s like there is no tomorrow, but I just have a massive love affair with these New Edge SN95s, and as long as it keeps turning over and driving down the road I will continue to love it, hug it, and call it george.

Thanks... Yeah I was going to get rid of it, but I can't I even told the doc " I know you said my stick days are finished for the time being, but I am not getting rid of this car and my goal is to get back to as close to 100% as possible so I can continue making it my Daily Driver."

Its going to need a re-paint with the tint match problem, so I am working with insurance company to make that happen.

You know what is sad... I have a brand new 2013 sitting right next to it, and I would rather drive the 2000. Yeah it gets painful in stop n go traffic, but I just love that car, the SN95 impresses me with its design and look. The 13 is the show stopper on power, but the 2000, by far my favorite.
