99-04 Stage 3 (270's)?

Default 99-04 Stage 3 (270's)?
I am looking to get a set of cams for my 2000 gt mustang. I was wondering how big I would be able to go without clearance issues. I want to get a 270, and I do plan on changing the valve springs. Would I be able to do 270's or should I go a step down?

270's will require piston notches or retarding the cams timing. best bet is to step down
