11 Mpg ?? Sluggish under 3k
Alright well I've been searching this for a while and I finally gave up and made a forum. So anyways I bought a 99 mustang gt back in may and from what I remember it was quick and fun to drive. Bought it with 3.90 gears, CAI, catted H pipe and came with an SCT tuner. Along the way I got an O/R X, a BAMA tune wich btw is garbage. Now the car does not feel like it did back in may. Anything under 3k is sluggish and slow. After 3-35k vetch kicks in so immediately I checked for air leaks, unplugged each coil to check for a misfire and changed the fuel filter because I did hit the low fuel light a lot over the summer. no cel, I didn't change the exhaust donut between the manifold and mid pipe bc it didn't come with one. I just put the fuel filter in a couple hours ago, but it doesn't explain why I got 77 miles to a half a tank which means 140 to a full tank. yes I romp it sometimes it's why I bought it and I under stand this isn't a hybirid. Someone help !

It could have be bad gas... Instead of just throwing money at it you probably could have saved some by taking it to a shop to have it diagnosed. Have you driven a similar car to see if it behaves the same?

Well it's been like this since summer. Other than that i only use Sunoco 93. And no but I feel like something's changed. It'll just kinda feel underpowered till 35k than after that there is no issues. It's just getting there. The only reason I haven't brought it to a shop is because it's my dd

Sorry to hear that you're not enjoying your Bama tune. I ran one their race tune on my '01 Bullitt for years and never had any issues. The guys at Bama are more than happy to datalog this to see if they can help at all but it sounds like there's something else going on here that's causing the car to run like this. I would definitely recommend having it looked at locally if you're able to do so. Let me know if you have any questions and sorry to hear about the trouble!
