Headlights and H.I.D.s...

Well this is awesome info due to the fact that I was going to just purchase new stock housings and buy and HID kit for that.
I did find a kit with housings and HID's, yet the housings look stock'ish... So I'm thinking since they are a "kit" that all come together and what not than I should be "okay" with getting these...? Even though they appear to be "stock looking," I'm thinking they would have been made for HID's.....

and that listing you're looking at is a pile of crap. your headlights are safety devices, not fashion accessories. they help others see you, and help you see better. for nighttime vision, you want yellow-to-white lamps (2000-4000K.) any higher than that, and you're getting into blue light (5-7000K) and violet (8-12000K) which do not help you see anything better. In fact, if you have blue or violet headlamps then you're just an *******.

Ya, I have maybe 5k on my other car now. Those are or were considered "pure-white" through the company I got mine from during then.
And ya, I just wanted a clean look with the light output of brighter/white. Which is why i liked the stock with HID's that I have seen on other actual stangs. But you guys telling me about the stock's can't handle HID's was useful info in helping me make a better decision on which way to go.
And ya, I hate those people with the blue/violet's as well so I definitely won't be "that guy."

When I did my 94 with hids, I had a cheap set of aftermarket euro style housings, I baked em in the oven at 200 degrees until I could separate the housing. Then I bought a set of projector lenses and mounted them in the housing, resealed them back up and installed the hids. At first I had a set of 6k in and I didn't like them to much. So I went to a pure white 4k and they were so much better. I never got a pic of the 4k but I did get one of the 6k. The Lincoln next to it had 4k hids from the factory the difference was the type of reflector and shade they used. The first picture you can see the projector inside of the housing.
These were with the 6k bulbs and honestly at night even with projectors they didn't light up the road well.
