Some Assistance Please

Exhaust on these cars already flows pretty well. You can get minimal gains from an X-pipe and/or high-flow cats. You can get decent gains from headers. But mufflers won't buy you anything but a grin on your face when you hear the sound - no that there's anything wrong with that.
Sound to me is important. I love the sound of my Bassani Street mufflers and I'll lower my windows just to hear them better.

I would go in this order:
1) CAI and Tuner (C&L Racer and SCT would be good)
2) Gears (FRRP 3.73)
3) Catted X-Pipe and Axle Back (Bassani is a nice one)
4) Short Shifter (MGW)
5) Get some better wheels and tires (Nitto 555) and suspension to handle the SC powah!
6) Save for the SC (and maybe a short block too)

Get Pypes Violator Series mufflers. You'll turn heads everywhere you go, but you won't attract the cops. I've had mine on for a year and I'm not exactly gentle when I drive around town and I haven't had any problems yet. If I were you, I'd make sure to stick with 2.5" exhuast. It sounds much better than the stock 2.25". It's a little deeper and less "poppy" if you know what I mean.
