2010 GT Boom Tube Install!!!
hey guys, I am in the middle of my install of the boom tubes and having the stock mufflers out of place and now bolting up the boom tube on the left side, I am having a problem muffler index lug that little raised nut that is on the stock pipes to fit in the grooves of the boom tubes inlet! Does the flange and that raised nut have to be connected? Or can I clamp it and is it okay if the pipe moves any?

Do not overlap your muffler pipe on top of that nut that sticks out.
Does your muffler pipe have a slot that the nut is supposed to slide into? If not, then just make the muffler pipe stop just short of that nut. Butt the end of the muffler pipe against the side of that nut, and that's as far up as the muffler pipe needs to go.
<-- not much of a mechanic, but I have change my mufflers a half dozen times.

Hey Shanec, thanks for writting ive been worried about loosing these puppies while driving lol the other one on the passenger side seems tighter but anyway I did not slid the pipe over that nut, but I cannot get any of the grooves on the boom tube to slide into that nut!! I thought that it had to be like the stock but do you guys and you shanec think it will be tight enough if just pushed up on the nut not coving the nut but against it with the clamps supplied there is a little play with the pipe but not a ton! Any more thoughts or comments from you guys is greatly apperciated!!! THANKS!

You aren't going to lose the mufflers. If you unbolted the clamp completely you would not be able to remove the mufflers if you wanted to without also unbolting the brackets that the hangers go into.
All you're looking at here is whether or not you have an exhaust leak. This close to the tailpipe you probably wouldn't notice if you did have a leak.
If the pipes won't go on tight, you can remove the muffler and hammer on the flange a little to close it up more.
