Speedometer problem? Help

Default Speedometer problem? Help

I have a 2005 GT and I was driving around town 2day and my speedometer needle suddenly feel all the way down? It seems to still move but it is at in between the 6 and 5 o'clock position. Can someone help please? Thank you

Default messed up speedo

my speedometer did the same thing and i cant find anyinfo about it. im torn between buying a new cluster or just putin an aftermarket speedo in that spot.

Have you checked for the infamous water leak? This tends to cause the elctrical connections at the SJB to corrode causing all kinds of electrical gremlins. Check the carpet on the passenger side by the kick panel, especially behind the kick panel (pull the access door). Blot the carpet with a tissue or something since sometimes your fingers have trouble distinguishing between cool and wet.

For the water leak TSB, check the sticky in the 2005-2010 main forum.
