Default HP Gain

How much HP gain from Header,CAI,Tune, & SLP exhaust can be expected on a 2010 GT with V8. I was wondering should I trade for 2011 or Modify

You're starting out with 315 crank stock (15 more crank than the 05-09's due to the FRPP Bullitt tune which will reduce your overall gains from the CAI & tune that the 05-09's see, since you're already about 1/2 way there) which is roughly 278-280 RWHP stock. So here's how I see it:
  1. CAI & good custom tune: 12 RWHP (remember, you've already gained about 10-12 RWHP with the FRPP stock tune on the '10) plus some improved driveability
  2. SLP exhaust: no power gain. sound improvement only
  3. Headers: if you're talking LT's then you may see about 10 RWHP
With that, you're looking at about 300 RWHP. Add cams to the LT's and add another 10-15 RWHP.

If you're looking to match the output of a stock 5.0, you'll need some serious work if you want to stay NA. You have to go FI to outdo the 5.0. A stock, broken-in 5.0 will lay down about 370-380 RWHP, maybe a bit more. And a 5.0 with just a CAI & tune is pushing about 420 - 425 RWHP.

What gear ratio are you running. Like Nuke said, about 90% of that is going to come from the CAI and the tune. It does not matter whose CAI you go with, just get one that requires a tune. One that does not is not worth the box it came in. Also get your tunes from somebody that knows what they are doing. Do a search and see what you come up with. I am fixing to pull the trigger on a Steeda CAI. I like the way it pulls from the factory air inlet as well as the open air box.

All depends what you want. If you want max power like a fiveOH, then bolt on a supercharger otherwise trade up. Cheaper to bolt on a SC though. Adding a CAI, tune etc....will net you more power but nothing like a SC.

Basically I think there are two options a tune on your stock car or a supercharger install. Now if there are other reasons you want a new car like a change on color buy new.

I'm at 300whp without LT's. With them I'd guess I'd be around 315-320whp.
With cams and UDP, just guessing again, I should be around 340whp on a bad day. LOL

I would't trade for a 5.0, if I wanted more power I do the SC as suggested.

If I could do it all over again, I'd get a supercharger 10 psi kit, lower control arms and fatter tires in the rear

I wasted a lot of money on little things when the supercharger just annihilated any gains they may or may have added lol

If you're stock, I'd save your money and just get a CAI/tune, have fun and save money til the blower all at once. LTs make good power but you'd still make a kazzillion times more power with a blower.. okay, maybe not "that" much..
