As strange as this may seem, it seems that I've heard about it before. It is winter time here, and every so often I go out into the garage and start my car just to let it run for a while. After letting it run for about 10 minutes, I give it a little gas to rev it up. So at the peak of the RPM range of the revving, I can hear it hiss or whistle, almost like it's pushing air, from the passenger side of the engine. It only happens for about a half second then quits. Anybody know what this is?

You have a Roush, correct? Is it a Stage 2 or 3 with a supercharger? I know on my previous car that I turbo charged, you could here the blow off valve let out a little whistle when you rev it and take your foot off the gas. Could you be hearing the bypass of the supercharger?

I've noticed, especially in the cold, what sounds like a supercharger whine coming in through the vents. Strange thing is I'm completely stock...

It's probably your power steering pump making a little noise. Pretty common.

Maybe you're referring to the "whoot" sound that is discussed in one of the TSB's. If I recall, that was also cold weather related.

my 08gt whistles when first cranked up after sitting outside when the temps are below 32, their is tsb for fead pulley making the noise. i had it written down but since my car sits in garage most all of the time, i never took it in. do a search for the fead.
