I think the main thing is matching the tire for use, to include the amount of power a tire is handling. I'm estimating your car around 300rwhp. The 300zx on the other hand is making upwards of 642rwhp (last check on a Mustang dyno). We switched to the Advan AD08s which is a super soft compound which is really only good for 10k miles and warmer weather and they grip like I've never felt before.
