mysterious holes?

That would account for one of the holes, but the rear most threaded hole is there on my car.
That is what I was talking about - not sure if they are for the gas tank though but that is as good a guess as any.

its a coupe. showed the ford dealer and they had no clue either

They are probably the holes for the extra sub frame brackets that run from in front of the wheels to the spare tire well area on a convertible.
