Holley Sniper intake?
#11
I saw the thread about this over on S197 forum, yeah it doesn't look promising. Haven't seen any dyno sheets but guys are having to make modified coolant crossovers just to clear this intake. Sounds like a pain in the ***.

I've been having the same issues. Holley will only send a 10 percent discount. Haven't offered to refund at all and the techs know nothing about the intake and give the run around. Been dealing with this for about 6 months now. I've made my own fuel pressure bracket out of aluminum and drilled and tapped the holes to fit their fuel rails, bought so many different fittings and hoses, and a throttle body spacer, and recently got the motion control delete plates. Yet the ports of the intake when lined up with the holes, don't match up the ports of the plates. There is a quarter inch gap. Can you please email me and maybe share some ideas on how you got it on there? My car has been sitting in limbo for awhile now. mustanger18@hotmail.com
Thanks,
Ashley

So, essentially you're stuck with a product that's still in development or not ready for production and can't return it? What do they think you are, guinea pigs? They should at least offer a substantial discount if you're going to be beta testing for them.

I got in touch with Mike here and he gave me some great info. Holley today finally replied with some sort of help. They make plates that will specifically fit the intake. That is what I have been needing and no machine shop around here would make it. Where were these plates months ago?! Ugh, well hopefully I get them in this weekend and can finally put my car back together. But their technicians have definitely a bad review from me...

I don't particular care for the looks of it myself and after reading about fitment issues Heck no. My Dad always talked about Holley so I was always under the impression it was a good company but from the sounds of it. My opinion is wrong.

The wonders of marketing. I think the only thing they made that didn't suck was carburetors and to me that's a dead technology, unless you're some kind of luddite.
I think the only intake manifold worth considering is the Ford Racing one and only if you're pushing the limits of the stock intake, which are pretty high.
