Tap and thread the rear oil return passage of the block and install a plug.
Seal bottom water outlet
Mod middle combustion chambers to better match the head gasket
Match water passages with the Ford gasket
Tap the head for an external oil feed
Weld a block of aluminum to the back of the Volvo head to run an external oil supply line
you'll find several writeups with a quick google search

early 90s 740s lol .. like he said .. wow, nevermind .. thats too much fabrications lol .. ill do that later when i get a spare block and rebuild it lol im kinda like budget wise .. so far i spent 500, including body parts, and i plan only to spend 3000
Basically everything the the volvo head came with as far as fuel rail and injectors, possibly a different timing belt cause it will have to be larger.
I also know that you will need to make a custom intake. i havent looked into this swap much but this is what I have heard. I would love to see someone in this forum to actually do the head swap, all I have seen is turbo swaps here, nothing with a volvo head but just talk about it and never go thru with it. Maybe be the first to do it on this forum and take lots of pics of the progress.
i want to do it because u know dohc can do better cams and stuff with it and just looks cleaner if u ask me .. im still trying to find all steps into doing it .. but so far sounds like alot of fabrications
