Radiator 1 row or 2?

Radiator 1 row or 2?
I bought a 92 2.3L about a month. It does fine, but the radiator leaks. I'm loosing a half gallon of fluid a week, or about 3/4 a tank of gas. I will replace the radiator before the summer.
I've found info from parts suppliers for a 1 row or 2 row radiator. Seems like from what I've read on the this forum is that the 2 row is standard.
Has anyone put a 1 row unit on thier car? Did it provide enough cooling?
It's about $90 cheaper for the 1 row. I plan on driving the car for a couple of years before I upgrade to another one.
Thanks in advance for your advice and experience.

I am running a 1 row in my '88, and before that I had a 1/2 row lol. Ok maybe not, but compared to my new radiator the previous one looks like a midget of a radiator. Anyway, the only time I have problems with overheating is when sitting in traffic on hot days. I am thinking that the 2 row is directed to the 5.0 but I could be wrong. Depending on how bad your radiator is, you can look into getting it re-cored.
The pic below is of my old radiator compared to the new one. Either way I rarely had problems with overheating.

Thanks for the reply. Mine looks like the bottom one. I assumed this was a 2 row unit because the forum here seems to think that is the stock unit.
The radiator at the top looks twice as big. But you know you purchased a single row, right?
I'm in Tennessee. It gets hot here in the summer, and I will be running the air conditioning. Don't want to kill the engine because it over heated.
I appreciate your insight.

Haha, you would ask me that wouldn't you? lol Now that I think of it, to this date I am not 100% positive, I ordered and paid for a single row and assumed that I got a single row, but was surprised to see the size of it compared to my original one. I knew that some front end work was done on my car before I bought it and just figured that they must have just replaced radiator with one that would fit the bill. I figured that it must not have been stock, but now that you say your's is that size it makes me wonder.
Looking at the dimensions online, it looks like the single rows are typically 1" thick and the 2 rows are 2" thick. Maybe I have a 2 row after all, I will have to measure it. Dang, now I am confused. I do know that before my radiator started to disintegrate, I didn't have any problem with over heating, however, my car doesn't have a/c so the engine wasn't working as hard. Since your radiator is the size of the bottom one, I would highly doubt it is a 2 row. I bet that the single row would work just fine, but hopefully some one with more expertise will chime in.
