Centrifugal vs. Screw Type Supercharger

Centrifugal vs. Screw Type Supercharger
Hey all, I am looking at getting a supercharger and I just can't decide what to get. I have a deal right now where I can get a centrifugal vortech/paxton that'll put out around 470 rwhp for about 3k. The cheapest I can find a screw type Whipple or something is for around 4500. I used to have a Lightning with an Eaton screw type. I really love the supercharger whine and everything about screw type and I have never heard a stang or anything with a centrifugal. I know that you cannot really go past 450-475 hp on a GT without needing extra mods so this would be right up in the perfect zone.
I have two requests, one, what are your guys opinions? Also, does anyone have a clip or youtube vid of a stang at WOT with a centrifugal. I just don't know if I should wait and save up some more or buy the vortech/paxton right now.

I don't think you will be dissappointed by getting the paxton...but I think you should consider what your final goals may be? And make sure you don't buy something that may limit you for future power potential...

Pick the one you want regardless of price. You didnt buy a brand new car and spend all that money on a C-series kit on a whim. You will keep this car a long time so do it right.
Personal opinion Whipple FTW

RE: Centrifugal vs. Screw Type Supercharger
I overlayed two dyno curves, and a twin screw running 8 psi with peak numbers of 425 hp / 410 tq has more power below 5000 RPM then the Brenspeed Paxton kit. Basically, you can have more "power under the curve" with lower PSI on a twin screw.

This will always boil down to application and personal preference! I say Whipple ...why because I have one -so many of the opinions you get will be biased. Regardless of what your choice is you will be happy and welcome to FI in advance! J
