Default Over Priced mustang's?

I was looking around for 87-92' mustangs a few days ago, and one thing I noticed that most the cars were over priced. I saw some very crappy cars, they need paint, needed new interior, new engine, It had like 190,000 miles on it and it was crappy for around $3500. Most the cars I saw were in this condition and around that price. I went to kbb.com and the value for a good condition mustang with 150,000 miles on it was $2,300.whats the deal with them being so expensive?

It depends on your area... I totalle dmy 88gt which had 110k miles, mid to good interior and new paint but was p[eeling from the flexible body kit and insurence gave me 5,800 bucks for it because they give you what its worth by the area you live in. Try driving a few more miles to find a cheaper car...

In my area it all depends on the engine. You can get a 4 cyl for about $1500, but a 5.0 will range anywhere between $2500-4000 depending on the condition.

I think people here just love their car too much*L*....I find the 4 bangers from 300-1200. it seems the mid west, west, and south west have the lower prices..

When i bought my 89 Lx coupe it had 55,000 miles even. And i only paid 3,000 for it.True it was a 2.3 but this car was in mint condition and was originally a military police car (used to patrol the fences) and the car was well maintained.I got all the service notews with it from 89 until the day i got it.

When i took the motor out at 100,000 to swap the 331 in i tore the 2.3 down and to my suprise it was like new!And i mean new! There wasnt a damn thing wrong with the motor.

Keep looking man there are deals out there.Luckily a buddy at a dealership gave me the heads up on this car so i kind of got lucky or though it seems.
