Ok well up until yesterday I hadn't ever really gotten them to smoke really well, and um, no matter how much I drove the car sideways around corners it didn't seem that the tires wore at all. So yesterday I met my buddy after he got off work and I thought what the hell, pulled out onto the street, revved it up to 4 grand in 2nd gear and sidestepped the clutch, then gently rode the brakes. Put up this glorious effin smoke screen and laid down a good 100' of black stripes before I lifted. A couple seconds later some guy in a truck turned the corner and stoped because the road was completely obscured. Oops. My mistake. 3 blocks later there was still smoke pouring out from under the dash, out of the trunk, and around the hood. I turned around and the smoke was up over the trees and still really thick.

Yeah. So it also seems to have eaten about 1/2 the tread off my tires. Oops. I guess these things will vaporize. Time to put the old 14" wheels and Grand Am GT's back on it and see how long it takes to destroy them.
