I'm thinking of switching from my 87 5.0 LX to one of those ideas...any suggestions on whichone is a better car and why?

The 87 is better. Why? Its paid for so the extra money can go into parts.

I think you should keep the 87...5.0 LX's are better than the 93 GT...they're faster because they're lighter, because they don't have the groud effects on them. Then i'd put the money into upgrades.

i would keep my 87 unless you found a 94 or 95 gt with low miles. that way you would keep the 5.0 and also get the newer body style.

Yeah, keep your lx. I just don't like the "skirt" work on the gt and they are heavier. But not in my case. I've got a '93 lx convert. Heavier than a gt, but at least I get to drop the top once in a while.

Keep your 87 -- spend the bucks on research and bucks...you won't go wrong. (ps - screw the monthly payment crap).
