Default Suspension neds some love...

I have an 89 GT Vert winth 18"rear and 17" front wheels, H&R springs 1 1/2" drop on the front, factory springs on the rear with a 3 point strut brace under the hood. The struts are original to the best of my knowledge, I know they need to be replaced. The car is all over the road right now as I am constantly haveing to overcorrect the steering even when driving in a straigt line. What are the best bang-for-the-buck options for upgrades? Thanks for your help!

Maybe a bump steer issue....Did you lower your car then have the isses? Or did it just start or come on slowly? I had worn front tires and it caused that.

I lowered the car in 2000 in conjuction with the new wheels, it seemed to be fine at the time. The car has been garaged for most of the past 6 years and I've spent the last 3 months getting it back the way I want it- everything is golden except the suspension. It looks and runs great with plenty of power but is just a pain to keep straight on the road....
