RE: Is My Clutch Going Bad?
im in the same boat as you. i got about 200k on the stock clutch it engages at the end. when i got a new rearend they said it might be time for a new clutch cuz they are self adjusting. and when it engages at the end it means it wearing down, and may need replacing.
cant be sure of this its 1:37 AM... tired/cant think.

One way to tell if you have a bad clutch is to put the car in a high gear, 5th for example at a very low speed, say 35mph. If the clutch is good, the car will bog and will very slowly accelerate. If you do this however, and you hear the car rev, or it doesn't bog, it means the clutch is slipping. Hope that helps.

RE: Is My Clutch Going Bad?
As I have heard, Fords are pretty notorious for having clutches that catch almost all the way out. The stock clutch on my 94 was the exact same way, but then again, it went out after about 25-30K miles of catching out that far. It's just a sign that it's aging, but trust me, you'll know when it goes.
