if the engine shakes then it might be motor mounts

Also check the Crank pully Balancer or what ever it is called. Mine went bad and it looked like I had 700 hp under my hood LOL.

harmonic balancer...............but usually the shake stays bad.

I agree it could be motor mounts.

I had about the same problem in my 94 GT. I had the motor mounts checked and one of them was completely shot. It almost was not there. Got that replaced and everything went smooth. Good Luck
