Default 92 LX parts for 87 GT?

Are there any parts on a '92 LX 4 banger that are interchangable with my car (87 GT) or would be a good upgrade? My brother got into an accident with it and I want to take anthing worthwhile off of it before it gets junked. It's not a totalled car, it's just that it would cost more than the car is worth to fix it. I was thinking things like all the MAF stuff would fit on my car, as long as the sensor wasn't different for the 4 cylinder cars. And if the sensor was too small I would rather only buy that part than the computer and harness as well.

Thanks

I have heard of people using the 4 banger springs.... thats about it though.

Are you going to part it out?

I wasn't going to part it out, unless there was some stuff on it that I could use. But there was nothing wrong with the car before he pulled out in front of another car, other than it being a 4 cylinder. What would using 4 cylinder springs do? Lower it or something like that?

4 cylinder springs are normally used up front because of there soft spring rate which makes them better for lifting the front for drag racing. What kind of condition is the interior in, might be worth striping that. Engine parts from the 4 banger can't really be used on a 5.0.

Alot of parts can be used or sold from that 4 banger. You can sell the glass, 1/4 windows, seats, insturment cluster , seat-belt assemblies, basically all of the interior is useable to some-one.Alot of the electrical switches and relays can be used , .You can use the springs. Doors , hoods, hatch, fenders,. Really what I'm saying is that car is worth alot more in parts if you take the time to remove it all. Do an e-Bay search or just look in Mustang resto catalogs and you'll get an idea of what the values for alot of parts are. Even stuff like your power side view mirrors are worth good money.
