It also seems to do it coasting doesnt matter if its in gear or not. I think it could be the exuast is the a place to look. Also what could it be..the car handles great, feels solid?? hmmm

Well I would first go under the car check the bolts on youre unversial joints make sure they are tight, Well then I would look at youre rear end you could have a shim loose, Say if youre in park you put youre car into drive, does it clunk?

Like the first time i shift to 1rst and take off there will be a slight clunk in the rear but not bad. And it only does it the first time i take off. Also this is only when parked on a hill nose to the high end of the hill so the rear end is has all the parking pressure on it. never level ground and only the first time.

Sounds like you gotta rock in your tank lmao j/k
Never have had this poblem before but a few things to check...

Exuast, hangers
Driveline, yokes, brackets
Sway bar
Or a bad shock or control arm
Might even be something in your differential could be a messed up gear or not enough oil
Could be suspension or internal

Do you know if the sound is coming from right left middle of the rear?

I have the same problem on a 00 vert V6. I have already installed new shocks and still have the problem. Any light on the matter would be great. How do you check the shims in the rear?
