so today I installed a cobra intake, now it wont start, I hooked evrything back up with the exception of the egr, and i do not have an egr eliminator, is this my problem? I have an adjustable fuel pressure reg set at 40 psi, normal bolt ons, nothing changed with the exception of the intake and egr block off plate, like I said no elim though, IS THIS MY PROBLEM?

did you remove the dizzy? no egr, the car should still run

the dizzy? not familiar with that one, I maked the dist. set it back to where it was, even checked for 180 out of time but i am not, removed the core from the schrader valve, installed gauge. I di get one big backfire from tail pipes third time I tried to start it, but other than that it has not attempted to start

if it back fired you need to recheck timing....i'm sure it's 180 off.

Do you know how to check and see if you put the dizzy back in right?? If so, check again. You mentioned that you marked the distributor, but did you mark where the rotor was pointing also?
